About the Role The Cancer Genetics Program at Corewell Health West seeks a Section Chief board eligible or certified in Medical Genetics or Oncology to lead and grow the program in West Michigan. This clinical leadership role offers an opportunity to influence patient care, program development, and collaboration with a skilled multidisciplinary team, including genetic counselors and oncology specialists. What You'll Do
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Cancer Genetics Program in West Michigan.
- Evaluate patients at risk for hereditary cancer, review risk reduction, prevention and treatment options, and follow high-risk patients long term when needed.
- Collaborate with genetic counselors, other genetics physicians, and the oncology team; contribute to academic and faculty activities; advance quality, safety, and clinical innovation; and manage program development. What We're Looking For
- Board eligible or board certified in Medical Genetics or Oncology.
- MD or DO physician license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Ability to lead a diverse team, engage in patient care, teaching, and research, and work across a multidisciplinary setting. Compensation & Benefits
