SEC Manager

We are partnering with a growing publicly traded organization to identify an experienced SEC Reporting Manager. This position will play a key role in external financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and technical accounting initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of SEC reporting requirements, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across multiple business functions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and filing of SEC reports, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and reporting deadlines.

• Prepare and review assigned sections of external reporting packages, including financial statement footnotes, MD&A, and supporting schedules.

• Coordinate with internal business partners to collect, validate, and analyze financial and operational data used in public filings.

• Research and evaluate new accounting and reporting guidance, documenting technical accounting positions and assisting with implementation.

• Support internal and external audit processes by preparing schedules, coordinating requests, and facilitating reporting-related reviews.

• Maintain and enhance financial reporting controls through the development of compliance documentation, variance analyses, and close-related procedures.

• Assist with accounting and disclosure requirements related to equity compensation, earnings per share, business combinations, goodwill, and other complex accounting matters.

• Drive process improvements and participate in special projects that support the broader accounting and finance organization.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

• 5+ years of accounting and/or financial reporting experience, including SEC reporting within a public company or public accounting environment.

• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.

• CPA certification preferred.

• Experience with financial reporting and consolidation platforms preferred.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across accounting, finance, tax, legal, and audit teams.

• Experience with SEC reporting technologies and data analytics tools is a plus.
