What You'll Do
- Design and development of complete seat plastics, creating and realizing CAD designs in CATIA V5.
- Develop concepts per customer or internal requirements and translate into qualitative, cost-effective designs.
- Perform packaging and kinematic studies of seat components and vehicle environment; produce envelope curves and relevant kinematic functions.
- Create and dimension component connections, define reference point systems; prepare assembly drawings, single part drawings, and BOMs for new and serial production per Brose standards and customer specs.
- Coordinate design concepts, document design development steps, and prepare design documents for approvals.
- Interface with customers and suppliers to agree on design details; collaborate with team engineers and test engineers during product development.
- Manage design development steps end-to-end from pre-development to series production and ensure deadlines.
