Seasonal Tax Preparer

Our client is seeking an experienced Seasonal Tax Preparer to join their team during the tax season. This individual will prepare and review a variety of tax returns, including individual, nonprofit, and corporate tax returns, while providing exceptional client service and ensuring compliance with all federal and state tax regulations. The ideal candidate has strong tax preparation experience, proficiency with QuickBooks, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for:
• Individuals (1040)
• Corporations (1120, 1120-S)
• Partnerships (1065)
• Nonprofit organizations (990 series)
• Review financial statements, general ledgers, and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Utilize QuickBooks to review client financial records, reconcile accounts, and generate financial reports.
• Analyze client tax situations to identify deductions, credits, and tax-saving opportunities.
• Communicate with clients to gather required tax documentation and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with current tax laws, regulations, and filing requirements.
• Conduct tax return reviews to verify accuracy prior to filing.
• Assist clients with bookkeeping adjustments and account reconciliations as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and personal information.
• Meet strict filing deadlines during peak tax season.

2+ years of recent tax preparation experience.

Experience preparing Individual, Corporate, Partnership, and Nonprofit tax returns.

Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop and/or QuickBooks Online.

Knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.

Experience using professional tax preparation software.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
