About the Role Logan Health Medical Center has a Seasonal Registered Nurse (RN) opportunity on the OB/LDRP (Obstetrics) team in Kalispell, MT. The RN will provide primary nursing care to antepartum, labor and delivery, and postpartum patients and their newborns, with opportunities to circulate in the OR for cesarean sections and collaborate with OB surgical technicians. What You'll Do

  • Provide nursing care to antepartum, laboring, and postpartum mothers and their newborns.
  • Circulate in the OR for cesarean sections; coordinate with OB surgical technicians.
  • Deliver primary care including assessment, treatment, care planning, and medical care evaluation.
  • Transcribe and implement provider orders and treatments (verbal and written); document encounters.
  • Maintain infection control procedures and uphold confidentiality; ensure chart accuracy.
  • Educate patients and families on health and medical needs per department protocol.
  • Assess patient needs and coordinate interventions per policy, procedure, and provider orders.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills, critical thinking, and the ability to work in a team and independently. What We're Looking For
  • Current Montana RN license or multi-state compact license with authorization to practice in Montana; required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar position.
  • ACLS and NRP must be obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer.
  • STABLE and Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) must be obtained within 1 year of hire/transfer.
  • RQI Provider (BLS) required within 7 days of hire/transfer or before independent patient care.
  • Knowledge of professional nursing theory, medical terminology, and principles of professional nursing practice.
  • Understanding of confidentiality laws (HIPAA) and ability to maintain patient privacy.
  • Knowledge of equipment, supplies, and instruments used in a medical setting; basic clinical laboratory methods; universal precautions.
  • Familiarity with OSHA rules, poisons/narcotics/caustics storage, and managed care restrictions.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal/written communication, and interpersonal skills; able to manage sensitive situations with tact.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently; strong priority-setting and critical thinking. Nice to Have
