About the Role Williston Northampton School is seeking seasonal coaches for various teams in Easthampton, Massachusetts. This season-based coaching role focuses on mentoring student-athletes, fostering positive relationships with players and parents, and using athletics to cultivate life skills. Ideal candidates will have playing and/or coaching experience at the secondary or college level and demonstrate a commitment to athletic development and character education. What You'll Do
- Coach assigned teams for the season; plan and run practices and competitions.
- Develop practice plans and strategies, maintain current knowledge of the sport.
- Foster positive relationships with student-athletes and parents; communicate progress and needs.
- Promote life skills and character development through athletic participation.
- Ensure safety and compliance by completing CORI, SORI, general and fingerprint-based background checks prior to participation.
- Collaborate with the Director of Athletics and other staff; participate in meetings as needed.
- Respond to inquiries by submitting a cover letter, resume and three references to Jade Morris, Director of Athletics. What We're Looking For
- Experience playing and/or coaching at the secondary or college level.
- Proven track record of establishing positive, healthy relationships with student-athletes and parents.
- Current knowledge of the games and coaching techniques.
- Strong interest in using athletic experiences to cultivate life skills.
- Ability to successfully complete CORI, SORI, general and fingerprint-based background checks. Compensation & Benefits
