About the Role Join Zapier's SDK and MCP platform team to empower developers and AI agents to connect to 9,000+ apps with built-in authentication, governance, and reliability. You'll help design, build, and ship code-first and chat-based integrations that work across editors, scripts, and production apps.
What You'll Do
- Help design, build, and ship the Zapier SDK, MCP, and CLI experiences that let developers connect to 9,000+ apps with managed auth and governance.
- Ensure authentication, token refresh, and retries are handled by Zapier, so users and agents don’t manage keys.
- Collaborate on documentation and onboarding steps (installing the SDK, connecting apps, and signing in).
- Enable agents (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) to call apps via MCP and code, covering end-to-end workflows across 9,000+ apps and 3,000+ raw API endpoints.
- Advocate for reliable, scalable integrations and contribute to governance policies and rate-limit handling.
What We're Looking For
- Experience building in-code integrations, developer tools, or platform apps.
- Familiarity with APIs, raw API access, and robust error handling across services.
- Comfortable working across code, editors, and AI agents to enable programmatic workflows.
- Ability to ship features quickly and document usage for developers and builders.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Zapier MCP, Zapier SDK, and Zapier CLI (npx zapier).
- Knowledge of authentication orchestration, token lifecycles, and governance policies.
