SDET

About the Role Avasant Labs is seeking an SDET to perform complete system testing of products developed within Avasant Labs. The role requires understanding Agile software development, prior experience with B2B SaaS products, dashboards, workflows and data-based products, and the ability to communicate complex issues clearly. This position emphasizes owning and driving test automation across web, API, and performance components, with a focus on delivering high-quality software in a fast-paced, multinational environment.

What You'll Do

• As a SDET, you will work closely with developers to automate developed features and perform manual testing of new features.
• Own the complete architecture of the automation framework, planning and designing automation for performance, API and Web.
• Set up automation infrastructure and CI/CD triggers.
• Build high-quality automation frameworks to cover end-to-end testing of your owned features.
• Contribute towards all levels of the test pyramid.
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open-source tools; develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products; liaise with internal teams to identify system requirements.
• Monitor and debug process results.
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.
• Automate testing flows on Web and APIs.
• Independently lead testing of complex software systems based on Python and Jinja framework, focusing on UI/UX, functional and optimization testing as well as test automation.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.), Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) or above from a recognized university.
• Certifications such as ISTQB, CAST or CSTE are an added advantage.
• Strong expertise in automation testing of Web and APIs.
• Proficient in Java and/or Python, and shell scripting.
• 2-3 years of experience as an SDET, Software Tester or similar role.
• Experience with QA test automation technologies: Selenium WebDriver, RestAssured, TestNG, Maven.
• Experience with performance and/or security testing.
• Knowledge of client-server architecture and backend protocols.
• Manual testing for Web, including development and execution of test plans.
• Experience using SQL and DBMS.
• Ability to learn and adapt to changing technologies; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask, triage issues, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with attention to detail; willingness to seek guidance when needed.
• Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform is an added advantage.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) will be an added advantage.
