Job title: SD/Procurement Development Specialist
IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state-of-the-art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to develop this “mine of the future”. Suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for the following vacancies required for the project development.
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
- Grade 12
- Relevant Degree in Finance, Supply Chain or Legal
- MDP B-BBEE (preferred)
Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in ESD and overall transformation.
- Experience in training and development of rural based SMME’s including incubation and mentoring.
- Successful track record in improving preferential procurement spend.
- Management experience.
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
- Monitor Supplier Funding.
- Conduct Gap analysis and diagnostics on SD Beneficiaries.
- Mentorship and coaching (Existing Suppliers).
- Track development of local suppliers.
- Monitoring & Evaluation (Partnerships, JVs, Distribution agreements).
- Collaborate with IVP Contractors on SD interventions.
- Advocate for existing suppliers’ growth (to more complex projects).
- Administer Supplier Development grant (if possible).
- Participate in Audits
- Ensure accurate reporting and compliance with transformation requirements (Table J, SLP, B-BBEE).
- Management of Supplier workspace in the Mine
- Report all SD interventions
- Implement Post Supplier development interventions
- Advocate for ED – SD graduation.
- Oversee the reporting of all ED interventions
Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South Africans (HDSA) from local communities surrounding Ivanplats Platreef mine. Applications are only open to Permanent RSA
