Job title: Scrum Master
About the Role As a trained Scrum Master, you will facilitate a Scrum team and remove impediments to help achieve sprint goals. You will protect the team, foster collaboration across teams, and ensure Scrum is used as intended, while supporting the Product Owner and maintaining a healthy backlog.
What You'll Do
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (Planning, Daily Standup, Grooming, Demo, Retrospection) and ensure correct adoption
- Remove impediments, protect the team from external interference, and help the PO adopt Scrum processes
- Support the PO in maintaining the Product Backlog, defining User Stories and Acceptance Criteria; ensure DOR, DOD and Acceptance Criteria are adhered to
- Facilitate estimation, backlog refinement, and all planning ceremonies; ensure MoSCoW adherence at Sprint level
- Update ALM tool daily and capture key Scrum metrics; analyze metrics and take corrective actions
- Participate in Scrum of Scrums across teams and highlight impediments; provide feedback on team performance to the Agile Line Manager and Agile Program Leader
- Create competency improvement/cross-skilling plans; target multiskilling for at least 50% of the team and help achieve stable velocity within 6-8 sprints
- Train the team on proper Agile adoption (Scrum / XP / Kanban); promote engineering practices like ATDD, TDD, CI, CD, and Refactoring
- Engage in community of practice initiatives and contribute to internal quality forums
What We're Looking For
- Mandatory Skills: Agile-Scrum
- Experience: 5-8 years in Scrum Master/Agile roles
- Strong facilitation, coaching, and communication skills; ability to work with Product Owners, developers, and stakeholders
- Experience with ALM tools and tracking Scrum metrics
- Ability to drive continuous improvement and help teams reach predictable velocity
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $60,000 – $135,000 per year
