Job title: Scrum Master
About the Role
As a Scrum Master, you will report to the Senior Manager of the APMO Canada, supporting Scrum Teams with onshore and offshore resources to deliver TransUnion products and solutions. This is a hybrid role requiring both virtual work and in-person collaboration at a TU office location for a minimum of two days per week.
What You'll Do

Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives).

Coach team members on Agile principles, Scrum framework, and best practices.

Identify and remove impediments that may hinder team progress.

Promote collaboration and effective communication within the team and with stakeholders.

Track and report on team progress using Agile metrics (velocity, burndown charts).

Support Product Owners in backlog grooming and prioritization.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

Ensure adherence to Agile/Scrum practices and organizational standards.

Assist in scaling Agile practices across multiple teams if applicable.

Facilitate/support ART ceremonies and events to backfill RTE when required.

Understand the values and principles of Agile as outlined in SAFe and align with them.

Build and manage timely communication channels with stakeholders, escalate impediments, manage risk, and help ensure value delivery.

Drive Lean-Agile transformation and coach leaders, teams, and SMs in new processes and mindsets.

Ensure program governance, and drive program-level process improvement via PI Inspect & Adapt.

Monitor the effectiveness of program processes and performance, and collaborate with Product and GT teams on changes and improvements.

Demonstrate understanding of how teams deliver product/service and how multiple teams interact to deliver value.

Manage dependencies through tracking upstream, downstream and cross-scrum collaboration with teams that are part of Value Stream(s).

Manage the implementation of reporting standards/KPIs across the ART and assist tracking the execution of features and capabilities.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
-
Minimum 10 years of applicable IT and risk industry experience (credit or financial services background preferred).

Scrum Master certification with 8+ years’ experience coaching Scrum teams.

3-5 years’ experience in software delivery including Agile delivery with globally distributed teams.

Experience in an Agile organization using Scrum, XP, Kanban, SAFe.

Strong background in application delivery to guide and mentor teams adopting Agile principles.

Strong communicator with facilitation and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have
-
Certification(s) in Agile methodologies (e.g., CSM, CSPO, CSP, PMI-ACP, SA, SPC, RTE, SSM, SASM).

Experience with Lean Portfolio Management facilitation for program, portfolio, or executive-level.

Strong understanding of and experience with Tempo Time reporting, Confluence and Jira, SharePoint.

Experience creating delivery metrics at team and ART levels for coaching/mentoring, retrospectives and management awareness.

Experience applying Lean Thinking and Systems Thinking in large organizations.

Experience with Agile at Enterprise scale and Agile Transformation activities.

Compensation & Benefits
-
Salary range: $89,000 - $123,000 annually.
