Section: The Role We are seeking a Scrum Master to drive delivery velocity for our BaaS engineering team. You will be the “Servant Leader” who removes obstacles, facilitates agile rituals, and protects the engineering team from external distractions.
Your goal is not just to “host meetings” but to optimise our flow and ensure we ship high-quality financial software on schedule.
Section: Key Responsibilities
- Process Ownership: Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives—with a focus on efficiency, not just attendance.
- Blocker Removal: Proactively identify and resolve technical or administrative impediments slowing down the developers.
- Sprint Management: Work with the Product Manager to groom the backlog, ensuring tickets are “Ready for Dev” with clear acceptance criteria.
- Metrics & Reporting: Track team metrics Velocity, Burndown, Cycle Time and use data to suggest process improvements.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as a buffer between the engineering team and business pressure, managing expectations on delivery timelines.

Section: What You’ll Bring
- Agile Expertise: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or PSM I certification is preferred.
- Tooling: Expert-level proficiency in Jira setting up workflows, boards, and automations and Confluence.
- Technical Literacy: You don’t need to code, but you must understand the software development lifecycle (SDLC), API dependencies, and release processes.
- Communication: Ability to facilitate tough conversations between Product and Engineering.
