Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master to facilitate Agile delivery, enable high-performing teams, and ensure effective adoption of Scrum and Agile principles.

The Scrum Master will serve as a servant leader, facilitator, coach, and impediment remover, working closely with Product Owners, Engineering teams, Architects, QA, DevOps, business stakeholders, and leadership to ensure predictable and continuous delivery of high-quality products.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with Scrum, Agile delivery, stakeholder management, team coaching, metrics, risk management, and cross-functional technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Scrum Master and Agile facilitator for one or more Scrum teams.

  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including:

  • Sprint Planning

  • Daily Scrum

  • Sprint Review

  • Sprint Retrospective

  • Backlog Refinement

  • Ensure Scrum principles, practices, and Agile values are understood and followed.

  • Remove or facilitate resolution of team impediments, blockers, and dependencies.

  • Protect the team from unnecessary interruptions and external distractions.

  • Coach team members, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Agile/Scrum practices.

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, transparency, collaboration, and accountability.

  • Partner with Product Owners to ensure the product backlog is sufficiently refined and prioritized.

  • Facilitate effective sprint planning and help teams establish realistic sprint commitments.

  • Monitor sprint progress and proactively identify delivery risks.

  • Track and communicate dependencies across teams and programs.

  • Facilitate resolution of cross-team and organizational impediments.

  • Work closely with engineering, QA, DevOps, architecture, security, and product teams.

  • Support release planning and coordinate with dependent teams.

  • Identify opportunities to improve team velocity, quality, predictability, and delivery flow.

  • Facilitate retrospectives and ensure agreed improvement actions are followed through.

  • Help teams adopt engineering and quality practices that support sustainable delivery.

  • Provide transparent reporting on delivery status, risks, dependencies, and impediments.

  • Collaborate with leadership to address organizational impediments impacting Agile teams.

  • Support Agile transformation initiatives and organizational change.

  • Minimum Compensation: USD

  • Maximum Compensation: USD

  • Compensation is based on actual experience and qualifications of the candidate. The above is a reasonable and a good faith estimate for the role.

  • This position is not available for independent contractors
