About the Role Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care (UBHC) is seeking a per diem Screening Clinician to support the Acute Psychiatric Services (APS) department. The primary purpose of the role is to perform psychiatric emergency services, screening, and screening outreach assessments, along with other mental health services. The position requires competence in conducting generic crisis assessments.
What You'll Do
- Perform psychiatric emergency services, screening, and screening outreach assessments.
- Provide crisis assessment and triage to determine next steps and level of care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary UBHC teams across multiple sites to coordinate care.
What We're Looking For
- Experience with crisis assessment, psychiatric emergency services, or related mental health settings.
- Ability to work per diem across UBHC sites; strong communication and assessment skills.
- Knowledge of community resources and referral pathways.
