Job title: Scrap Metals Classifier & Processing Technician
About the Role Identify, sort, clean and size scrap metals for efficient use in melting processes for the TiAl team. Supply melting areas with cleaned, identified alloys. Support processing of vacuum and air melted ingots.
What You'll Do
- Receive metal parts/gates from casting and backend operations.
- Classify all metal using visual methods including gating systems, color, cutting behavior and spark test.
- Classify metal using electronic methods, including spectrotest analyzer, Kevex analyzer and magnetic permeability.
- Cut, process and clean metals into sizes for melting processes.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in metal scrap classification and processing.
- Ability to visually identify metals using gating systems, color, cutting behavior and spark tests.
- Proficiency with electronic testing methods for operations, including spectrotest analyzer, Kevex analyzer and magnetic permeability.
- Ability to receive metal parts/gates from casting operations and prepare metal for melting.
- Willingness to cut, process and clean metals to required sizes.
