Job title: Scrap Metal Sorter/Classifier
About the Role The mission of the role is to identify, sort, clean and size scrap metals for efficient use in melting processes for the TiAl team, and to supply melting areas with cleaned, identified alloys. The role may also involve processing vacuum and air melted ingots (LSBO only).
What You'll Do
- Receive metal parts/gates from casting and backend operations.
- Classify all metal using a variety of visual methods including gating systems, color, cutting behavior and spark test.
- Classify all metal using a variety of electronic methods (LSBO only), including spectrotest analyzer, Kevex analyzer and magnetic permeability.
- Cut, process and clean metals into sizes for the melting processes accordingly. You are trained on data up to October 2023.
