Job title: Scrap Metal Classifier and Processor
About the Role The mission is to identify, sort, clean and size scrap metals for efficient use in melting processes for the TiAl team. To supply melting areas with cleaned, identified alloys. To process vacuum and air melted ingots (LSBO only).
What You'll Do
- Receives metal parts/gates from casting and backend operations.
- Classifies all metal using a variety of visual methods including gating systems, color, cutting behavior and spark test.
- Classifies all metal using a variety of electronic methods (LSBO only), including spectrotest analyzer, Kevex analyzer and magnetic permeability.
- Cleaning and Processing Objective: to cut, process and clean metals into sizes for the melting processes.
What We're Looking For
- Ability to accurately classify and separate metal scraps.
- Experience classifying metal using visual methods (gating systems, color, cutting behavior and spark test).
- For LSBO only, experience with electronic classification methods such as spectrotest analyzer, Kevex analyzer and magnetic permeability.
- Able to cut, process and clean metals into sizes for the melting processes.
