About this role
About the Role The Precision Medicine Immunology department seeks a Scientist with immunology/immuno-oncology expertise and experience in single-cell or spatial genomics. You will lead clinical biomarker discovery by profiling samples to understand drug mechanism of action and pharmacodynamics, and support data-informed patient selection across inflammatory and autoimmune diseases from late discovery to clinical trials. The role involves collaboration with a growing translational research group.
What You'll Do
- Design, execute, and analyze complex genomic profiling experiments (scRNA-seq, CITE-seq, spatial transcriptomics/proteomics).
- Perform image analysis for spatial omics datasets, including de-array, alignment, cell segmentation, and phenotyping.
- Develop computational pipelines for processing spatial omics data and multi-omics integration.
- Identify technical artifacts, QC results, and optimize assay performance to ensure high-quality, timely data delivery.
- Stay current in single-cell and spatial genomics by evaluating new methodologies and presenting results to stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
- Advanced degree in bioinformatics, immunology, cell biology, pathology or related fields; experience per degree level (PhD with 4+ years; MS with 10+ years; BS with 12+ years).
- Extensive experience designing and conducting single-cell and spatial omics studies to generate biomarker hypotheses.
- Expertise in scRNA-seq, CITE-seq; proficient with CosMx, Xenium, Visium; IHC/ISH.
- Proficient in R and Python; experience with image analysis tools (Visiopharm, HALO).
- Familiarity with AWS and HPC for large-scale genomic data processing.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks and data visualization.
- Strong leadership, communication, and scientific writing skills.
Compensation & Benefits
- The compensation range described for the role; actual pay may vary by location and other factors; range may be modified in the future.
- Benefits include paid time off, medical/dental/vision, and 401(k); eligibility for long-term incentive programs.
- Equal opportunity employer; accommodations available. US & Puerto Rico only.
