About the Role Caltech is seeking a Scientific Networking Research Associate to contribute to the design and operation of high-performance networking infrastructure, manage clusters, implement protocols, and monitor system performance to enable cutting-edge scientific research. What You'll Do

- Implement networking protocols
- Monitor performance and ensure reliable data transfer What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Strong networking, Linux, SDN, Kubernetes, and scripting skills
- Experience with network monitoring and high-performance data transfer tools Nice to Have
- Experience with perfSONAR and the Open Science Grid (OSG)
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Ansible
- Familiarity with Grafana/Prometheus and common networking hardware (Arista, Cisco, Dell) Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: USD 80,000–95,000 per year
- Location: Pasadena, CA (Onsite) at Caltech
- Term: Full-time, temporary position
