Science Technician

About the Role Science Technician in Sir John Talbot’s School, Whitchurch. You will support the science department by preparing equipment, maintaining resources and promoting safe laboratory practice, enabling high-quality practical lessons for students. • Prepare equipment and maintain resources, ensuring safe and ready-to-use laboratory facilities for practical lessons.
• Support teaching and learning by setting up activities, organising stock and ensuring equipment is available when needed.
• Manage resources, equipment and stock effectively, keeping accurate records and maintaining safety standards.
• Work closely with teaching staff to create engaging practical lessons and enrichment opportunities.
• Promote safe laboratory practice and contribute to school-wide safety culture.
• Build positive working relationships with staff and students; contribute to school life and continuous improvement.
• Be a proactive, reliable team member who helps maintain high standards. What We're Looking For

• Salary range £26,403 - £28,142 per annum (Pro Rata) for full-time equivalent; actual pro rata may be lower depending on hours.
• Pay rate and benefits are aligned with scale for the school.
