Job Summary

• The School Nurse is responsible for promoting and maintaining the health, safety, and well-being of students and staff. The nurse will provide first aid, monitor students’ health conditions, maintain medical records, and support health education initiatives within the school community.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff.

• Maintain accurate and confidential medical records.

• Administer medications in accordance with school policies and parental authorization.

• Monitor students with medical conditions and special health needs.

• Conduct routine health screenings and assessments.

• Ensure the school clinic is adequately stocked and maintained.

• Respond appropriately to emergencies and coordinate referrals to healthcare facilities when necessary.

• Promote health education and wellness programs.

• Maintain hygiene and infection-control standards.

• Liaise with parents, teachers, and healthcare providers on students’ health concerns.

• Prepare health reports and maintain relevant documentation.

• Participate in safeguarding and child protection initiatives.

• Qualifications and Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) qualification with a valid practicing license.

• Minimum of two years of relevant experience.

• Certification in First Aid and Basic Life Support.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
