Description

• We are seeking a responsible, experienced, safety conscious, and reliable School Bus Driver to join its school transport team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting pupils and authorised staff to and from school and other approved destinations while maintaining high standards of professionalism, punctuality, and road safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport pupils and authorised staff according to approved school routes and schedules.
• Ensure pupils are picked up and dropped off at designated locations and at the appropriate times.
• Conduct routine checks on the school bus before and after each trip.
• Report mechanical faults, defects, or maintenance requirements promptly.
• Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of the assigned vehicle.
• Observe all traffic laws and road safety regulations at all times.
• Exercise extra care when boarding and dropping off pupils.
• Work closely with the school transport coordinator, bus attendant, and relevant school personnel.
• Maintain accurate records of daily trips, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle-related activities as required.
• Ensure that no pupil is left unattended in the vehicle after completing a trip.
• Report incidents, delays, accidents, or unusual occurrences immediately to the appropriate school authority.
• Demonstrate patience, courtesy, and professionalism when interacting with pupils, parents, staff, and members of the public.
• Carry out other transport related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years’ professional driving experience, preferably in a school or corporate environment.
• Valid Nigerian Driver’s Licence with the appropriate category.
• Relevant experience driving school buses or other large passenger vehicles will be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Lagos roads, particularly Lekki and surrounding areas.
• Clean and responsible driving record.
• Strong understanding of road safety regulations.
• Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional when dealing with children.
• Good communication skills.
• Punctual, trustworthy, physically fit, and dependable.
