About this role

About the Role The Park SBHC Patient Access Representative is the first point of contact between students and families at the School Based Health Center, supporting scheduling, outreach, and coordination of care across medical, dental, and behavioral health services. The primary work location is Fairplay, CO, with potential coverage at other SBHC locations.

What You'll Do

  • Transition patients from the point of contact to their appointment, maximize scheduling opportunities, and attend to operational flow and patient needs.
  • Screen all new and established patients for eligibility for all School Based Health Services.
  • Ensure patient records are ready for the appointment. Gather required paperwork and update demographics, insurance, and enrollment for accurate records in the Electronic Records system.
  • Fill schedules, scrub, and make reminder calls for Park County School District.
  • Collect payment and complete end-of-day reconciliation.
  • Participate in school and community events (back-to-school nights, school registrations, SBHC immunization clinics).
  • Lead and participate in team huddles; provide administrative support for integrated care.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the SBHC manager.
  • Complete all required training as designated by HR and the position supervisor; adhere to organizational policies and the ECH Employee Handbook; comply with vaccine mandates.
  • Willingness to travel and work at other ECH locations as determined by the supervisor.
  • Comply with credentialing and privileging requirements in a timely manner.

What We're Looking For

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficient customer service skills, preferably in healthcare.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of digital systems (including Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Critical attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Nice to Have

  • Spanish language preferred (bilingual).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $22-$27 per hour (USD).
  • Onsite role located in Fairplay, Colorado. Benefits not specified in posting.
