Job title: SAP Senior System Analyst
About the Role The SAP Senior System Analyst will lead design, development, and support of SAP-based IT solutions within a manufacturing/distribution environment, coordinating the technical/functional delivery for your area. The role includes design, build, and deployment work for UI5/Fiori reports, interfaces, conversions, database design and creation, and enhancements. May also include SAP Portal development, ABAP, SAP UI5/Fiori, and Java Web Dynpro. Provides accurate estimates based on design documents, including data mapping and interface models.
What You'll Do
- Collaborates closely with the business to understand requirements.
- Performs planning, analysis, design, requirements definition, functional design, development, testing and implementation of IT solutions.
- Provides support for difficult and complex system environments and for users.
- Drives medium to large projects with planning, development, and implementation of system solutions.
- Coordinates activities across multiple projects and activities.
- Effectively uses ITIL methodology in performing all tasks.
- Meets with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve business systems issues.
- Ensures compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.
- Reviews and analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
- Creates systems models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to application developers.
- Coordinates and performs in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems.
- Conducts research on software products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Operations Supervisor.
What We're Looking For
- BA/BS in Information Technology or Computer Science or B.E/B.Tech, or the equivalent of 12 years professional IT experience in applications development and support.
- Experience with SAP ABAP, HANA, Cloud Application Programming Model, RESTful Programming.
- Experience within a manufacturing/distribution IT environment.
- Familiar with a variety of sales methodologies, tools, and frameworks across industries.
- 10-15 years’ experience in planning, analysis, design, testing, implementation, documenting and training of SAP applications; SAP technical skills ABAP/HANA/BTP/Integration Suite.
- Minimum 4 years’ hands-on SAP experience with ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP), HANA, and CDS.
- Experience with CI/CD practices and tools (Azure DevOps / Git / GitFlow / Jenkins / Selenium / JMeter / BlazeMeter).
- SAP Certified Development Associate - SAP CPI or other relevant SAP certifications.
- Expert in SAP implementations and support projects.
- Hands-on experience in SAP PI/PO 7.5 with Single Stack and ESR/ID.
- Ability to work closely with clients to capture integration requirements and define integration strategies and roadmaps.
