SAP Consultant

We manufacture highly advanced vaccines on behalf of leading international biopharmaceutical companies. Biovac is licensed to manufacture a fully liquid hexavalent vaccine from Sanofi that targets and protects against six childhood diseases.

Job Purpose:

• The SAP Technical Consultant is responsible for the management of the SAP environment.

• The SAP Technical Consultant responsibilities include implementing, configuring, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting the SAP technical environment as well as scheduling and executing the SAP transport system

• Provide technical support and guidance to business during all phases of SAP implementation projects, including system upgrades and post-implementation support

• Conduct system analysis and provide recommendations for system improvements, enhancements, and optimization

Experience & industry knowledge:

• Proven experience as an SAP Technical Consultant or similar role eg basis, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in SAP implementation projects

• Expertise in SAP technologies, SAP NetWeaver, SAP Basis and basic experience with a variety of SAP modules (such as SD, MM, FI/CO, etc.), and SAP integration technologies (PI/PO, IDoc, BAPI, etc.)

• Solid understanding of SAP system architecture and configuration, including hands-on experience with system setup, transports, and troubleshooting

• Experience in designing and developing custom SAP solutions, including interfaces, enhancements, and forms

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly identify issues and provide effective resolutions

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Certifications in relevant SAP technologies and modules are highly desirable

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.

Key Performance Areas for this position include:

• Implementing, configuring, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting the SAP technical environment

• Scheduling and executing the SAP transport system

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical specifications for SAP system development and configuration

• Conduct system analysis and provide recommendations for system improvements, enhancements, and optimization

• Perform SAP system configuration, including customizing SAP modules to align with business processes and requirements

• Conduct thorough testing of developed solutions to ensure high quality and adherence to requirements

• Provide technical support and guidance to business during all phases of SAP implementation projects, including system upgrades and post-implementation support

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including functional consultants, project managers, and business analysts, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of SAP solutions with business goals

• Stay up-to-date with the latest SAP technologies, trends, and best practices, and apply them to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of SAP implementations

• Document technical specifications, system configurations, and customizations, ensuring comprehensive and accurate documentation for future reference and knowledge transfer

• Identify risks, issues, and dependencies during SAP implementation projects, and provide proactive recommendations and mitigation strategies
