The Salesforce Business Solution Architect is responsible for designing the functional architecture for Salesforce implementations. They translate business requirements into Salesforce and integrated systems. This role requires a deep understanding of Salesforce products, features, and surrounding technologies like databases, integration middleware, and APIs.

Key responsibilities

• Architecture Design: Creating complex Salesforce system architectures that can span multiple Salesforce clouds and external systems.
• Technical Leadership: Serving as the technical lead for implementation teams, reviewing code, setting best practices, and mentoring developers.
• Integration Oversight: Overseeing the integration of Salesforce with other enterprise systems such as ERP and legacy databases.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Working with business stakeholders to understand processes and goals, translating them into technical solutions.
• Designing Integration Solutions: Architecting integrations between Salesforce.com and other applications using batch, near real-time, and real-time patterns.
• API Strategy: Defining and implementing API-led integration strategies using REST and SOAP APIs.
• Middleware and Tools: Working with various integration tools and middleware platforms to connect different business systems.
• Data Governance: Architecting strategies for enterprise data integration and governance.
• CPQ Solution Implementation: Configuring Salesforce CPQ to handle product bundles, pricing rules, quote calculations, and approval workflows.
• Business Process Design: Collaborating with sales and finance teams to gather requirements for quote generation processes.
• System Integration: Ensuring that CPQ integrates with other systems, such as ERP or billing systems.
• Technical Leadership in CPQ: Leading technical design sessions, producing architecture artifacts, data models, integration specifications, and ensuring alignment with standards; includes performance tuning, data migration, and release management for large-scale CPQ programs.
• Leading Migration Workstreams: Technical lead for large-scale data migration projects, overseeing transition of datasets into Salesforce.
• Architecting Migration Frameworks: Designing scalable migration frameworks that handle large data volumes with security standards and platform limitations.
• End-to-End Data Lineage: Defining and overseeing the entire data migration process, including data profiling, cleansing, transformation mapping, and reconciliation.
• Strategic Guidance: Advising clients on long-term data strategy, archival policies, and master data management roadmaps.
• Release Management: Driving release management strategies for large-scale programs.
