Sales Support Specialist

A Sales Support Specialist at Corbion works in a high-profile, high-customer-contact area and plays a key role throughout the order-to-cash cycle. The role requires proficiency in order entry, clear communication, knowledge sharing, problem solving, and leadership within the assigned account base. The ideal candidate is highly organized, able to analyze information quickly and objectively, and capable of using independent judgment that directly impacts customers daily. The position requires multi-tasking and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the client’s supply flow aligns with Corbion’s service level expectations.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and assist sales with order entry and related requests
• Manage customer calls and emails quickly and effectively
• Track shipments and manage returns
• Apply product/technical knowledge, as well as supply chain and logistical understanding, to assist customer requests
• Proactively resolve customer issues with internal partners
• Issue credits and perform re-bills
• Maintain customer notes and automated notifications
• Understand customer order patterns

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma required; additional college coursework preferred but not required
• Experience: 2+ years in customer service or administrative support, ideally in a global and/or manufacturing environment; combination of education and experience will be considered; exposure to manufacturing/supply chain industry is helpful
• Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office, strong typing skills, and ten-key; SAP experience preferred
• Collaboration: Ability to collaborate with other departments including Logistics, Supply Chain, and Finance
• Abilities: Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize, and problem solve while maintaining a customer service focus
• Physical Demands: Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods, with some standing and movement; ability to stay seated and work on a computer for extended periods; office-based tasks may involve prolonged sedentary work at a desk with a computer
