About the Role RathGibson in Janesville, Wisconsin is seeking a Sales Manager who will coordinate the sales and operations plan, acting as the liaison between customers and operations, and guiding the sales team to maximize profitability and market share.
At RathGibson Janesville, the Sales Manager serves as the focal point for the sales and operations plan, liaising between customers and operations and collaborating with Inside Sales, Production Control, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to meet customer requirements while maximizing sales and profit. The role maintains all aspects of assigned accounts, provides guidance to the sales team and outside representatives, and is responsible for pricing and preserving profit margins while growing RathGibson's market share.
What You'll Do
- Oversee all aspects of a customer's transaction from inquiry to delivery arrangements.
- Implement sales strategies that maximize profit margin, delivery integrity, and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare budgetary sales and margin forecasts and establish goals to ensure compliance with budgetary obligations.
- Service existing customer base while promoting new business.
- Provide timely and accurate information on order status and product knowledge requests; identify customer requirements and specifications.
- Manage and develop relationships with the customer base to support operational needs.
- Maintain monthly pricing sheets and contracts for assigned accounts; develop quotations.
- Work closely with inside sales representatives to develop new business while maintaining current business, including directing and potentially supervising inside sales.
- Manage claim resolution and settlement.
- Travel up to 75%.
What We're Looking For
- BS degree in Sales, Marketing or related discipline.
- 5+ years of sales experience.
- Knowledge of specialty metals and tubing business.
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues at all levels to achieve organizational goals.
