SKF Aerospace Business Unit is looking for a Sales Manager to manage the segment and team responsible for helicopters. This is a leadership position that requires excellent communication skills and a clear business and profit-oriented focus. Candidates will need to balance their efforts between servicing current business and developing new opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Strategically increase market share positions on key aircraft programs
- Develop high level customer relationships across all levels of the customer organization
- Define segment strategies for product, price and profit development
- Manage contractual and commercial risks and coordinate cross functionally within the organization
- Negotiate profitable long-term customer contracts
- Assist in building and meeting annual business plan
- Build and define quotes for new business
- Manage a team of account managers and be the primary escalation point for the customers for expedite requests, chargebacks, supplier disputes and recovery plans
- Cross functional leadership
- Support Applications Engineering efforts (from multiple national and international facilities)
- Understand market trends and their impact to our business growth and profitability
- Contribute to marketing activities, including events, monthly forecasting and process mapping
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering required. MBA a plus
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Sales preferably Aerospace related
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural and international team
- Familiarity with the Government Contracting process and military sales
- Results-driven, self-starter with a proven record of accomplishment in commercial/technical roles
- Comfortable engaging customers at multiple levels in the organization
- Develop and manage contracts spanning multiple SKF Aerospace manufacturing locations, both national and international
- Aerospace technical aptitude
- Ability to work and motivate in a fast-paced team environment
- 40% to 50% travel is required
- Familiarity with PMA development and FAA regulations a plus
