Sales Leader Ukraine – Energy

Based in Kyiv, Ukraine or Lviv, Ukraine, this role will lead Emerson’s growth strategy across the Ukrainian energy market, supporting the recovery, modernization, and long-term development of the country’s energy infrastructure.
As Sales Leader Ukraine - Energy, you will be the accountable leader for a portfolio of strategic energy customers and will work across Emerson’s business units to deliver a unified customer experience, identify growth opportunities, and expand Emerson’s presence within power generation, hydro, oil & gas, and energy transmission sectors. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of Emerson’s organization in Ukraine and progressively grow into broader country leadership responsibilities as the business expands.
In This Role, Your
Responsibilities
Will Be:

Develop and execute multi-year account strategies for strategic energy customers in partnership with Emerson business units.

Serve as the primary point of accountability and escalation for assigned strategic customers.

Coordinate sales, technical, and business unit resources to deliver an integrated customer engagement strategy across Emerson’s portfolio.

Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders across executive, engineering, operations, maintenance, and procurement functions.

Expand Emerson’s market presence by identifying opportunities to introduce additional solutions and services within existing customer accounts.

Identify reconstruction, modernization, and new-build projects early and position Emerson before project specifications are established.

Develop and maintain relationships with EPC contractors, OEMs, distributors, system integrators, and other key stakeholders across the Ukrainian and European energy ecosystem.

Lead commercial strategy and negotiations for strategic opportunities in collaboration with Emerson business units.

Deliver Ukraine sales and order objectives and maintain an accurate business forecast across Emerson’s portfolio.

Monitor market trends, competitor activity, funding programs, and reconstruction initiatives to support business growth strategies.

Ensure adherence to Emerson’s ethics, compliance, trade regulations, and safety requirements.

Support the growth of Emerson’s presence in Ukraine by identifying organizational needs and contributing to future team development.

For This Role, You Will Need:
To be considered for this role, candidates should demonstrate:

Experience developing business, sales, or strategic customer relationships within the energy, power generation, industrial automation, oil & gas, utilities, or related infrastructure sectors.

Knowledge of the Ukrainian energy market, including key customers, industry stakeholders, and market dynamics.

Experience leading complex sales opportunities, business development initiatives, account management activities, or customer growth strategies.
-
Demonstrated ability to work effectively across matrixed or cross-functional organizations and influence stakeholders without direct authority.

Ability to build and maintain relationships with executive, commercial, technical, and operational decision-makers.
-
Fluent Ukrainian and strong English communication skills.

Ability and willingness to travel within Ukraine and internationally as business needs require.

Commitment to operating with a high standard of ethics, integrity, and professionalism.

Minimum Qualification Summary
Candidates will generally be considered qualified if they can demonstrate:

Relevant commercial experience in the energy, power, industrial, automation, utilities, or related sectors.

Strong knowledge of the Ukrainian energy market.

Customer-facing experience involving strategic accounts, business development, or complex sales.
-
Proven ability to work across multiple teams and stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

Fluent Ukrainian and strong English language skills.

Ability to travel for customer and business meetings.

Not Minimally Qualified
Candidates are unlikely to be considered if they:

Do not have experience within energy, power, industrial, automation, utilities, or related infrastructure industries.

Cannot demonstrate customer-facing commercial, account management, business development, or sales experience.

Have no familiarity with the Ukrainian energy market and its stakeholders.
-
Are unable to communicate effectively in Ukrainian and English.
-
Are unable to travel as required for customer engagement and business collaboration.

Cannot demonstrate experience influencing or collaborating across multiple stakeholders and teams.

Qualifications
That Set You Apart:

Experience working with power generation companies, utilities, transmission operators, oil & gas organizations, or other strategic energy customers.

Experience securing or managing large capital projects through EPC contractors, competitive tenders, or public procurement processes.

Experience supporting reconstruction, modernization, infrastructure, or energy transition projects.
-
Familiarity with projects funded by international financial institutions such as EBRD, EIB, World Bank, or similar organizations.

Knowledge of industrial automation, control systems, software, measurement technologies, valves, or related industrial solutions.

Experience leading people, developing teams, or contributing to organizational growth.

Polish language skills.
-
Technical, engineering, business, or related educational background, or equivalent practical experience.
