About the Role You will serve as a savvy sales leader and the right hand to the Retail Store Manager, guiding the team to deliver exceptional customer service and drive the brand’s footprint in the Americas region. You’ll lead by example, coach staff, and help ensure store standards and KPIs are met. What You'll Do
- Partner with Store Manager to uphold consistent business standards and coach the team.
- Represent the Dr. Martens brand through coaching, feedback, and customer-focused leadership; help the team exceed sales goals and KPI targets.
- Assist in training new staff on duties and product knowledge.
- Support Store Manager with HR responsibilities including onboarding paperwork, performance reviews, and recruiting.
- Perform daily opening/closing operations, balancing the register, and preparing bank deposits.
- Manage scheduling, inventory, shipments, and physical inventories; work with retail stock team to receive and replenish stock.
- Lead on-floor selling and foster team selling; assist merchandising to meet Brand Marketing guidelines and enhance product appeal. What We're Looking For
- 2-3 years of supervisory experience; experience assessing performance and supporting employee development.
- Retail experience required; footwear experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; able to communicate with a broad customer base.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, retail/register systems, web-based programs, and inventory systems; MPOS experience a plus.
- Basic math proficiency; ability to calculate percentages.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and carry shoe boxes while climbing stairs/ladder.
- Punctual and reliable; flexible for travel as needed (0% travel noted).
