Join Vanguard and Help Shape the Future of Investing

Vanguard is seeking a German-speaking Sales Executive to drive business growth across the German-speaking region of Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

This is an exciting opportunity to represent one of the world's leading investment management firms, working with Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs), Independent Wealth Managers, and Single and Multi-Family Offices. You'll play a key role in expanding Vanguard's presence, deepening client relationships, and showcasing our innovative investment solutions, including ETFs, Index Funds, and Multi-Asset Model Portfolios.

The Role

As a Sales Executive, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities while supporting the ongoing retention and growth of existing client relationships. Working closely with the wider Distribution team, you will build a strong market presence and position Vanguard as a trusted partner across your territory.

This role offers a blend of business development, relationship management, and strategic planning, making it ideal for a motivated sales professional looking to further develop their career within a highly respected global investment firm.

In this role you will

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan across the German-speaking part of Switzerland and Liechtenstein, targeting IFAs, Independent Wealth Managers, and Single and Multi-Family Offices
  • Identify, cultivate, and convert new business opportunities while supporting the retention and growth of existing client relationships
  • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers within prospect and client organisations
  • Promote Vanguard's investment capabilities, products, and services through meetings, presentations, seminars, conferences, and targeted business development activities
  • Raise awareness of Vanguard's offering through proactive prospecting, including face-to-face meetings, networking events, industry conferences, and targeted marketing initiatives
  • Independently manage smaller and less complex prospects and accounts while partnering with senior sales professionals on larger, more sophisticated opportunities
  • Leverage market knowledge and competitive insights to position Vanguard's solutions effectively
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver an outstanding client experience and support business objectives
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the regulatory environment and ensure all activities adhere to compliance requirements
  • Contribute to special projects and broader business initiatives as required

What it takes

  • Proven relevant industry experience, with previous sales experience highly desirable
  • Experience working within asset management, wealth management, private banking, or financial services environments
  • Strong business development and relationship management skills with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
  • Knowledge of investment products, particularly Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), Index Funds, and broader investment solutions
  • A strategic, self-motivated, and results-oriented approach to sales
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience
  • Graduate degree and/or CFA qualification would be advantageous
  • Fluent German and English language skills are essential
  • No regulatory licence or registration is required for this position

Special Factors

  • Vanguard is not offering visa sponsorship for this position
  • This is a hybrid position and would require you to work in the office 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday)
  • Please note that we review applications on a rolling basis and may close this role early if there is a high level of interest. To avoid missing out, we recommend applying as soon as possible
