About this role
Job title: Sales Development Representative
About the Role Join Wikimedia Enterprise as a Sales Development Representative to translate our unique data platform into a qualified enterprise pipeline. You’ll be the first point of contact for technology companies, AI labs, and large platforms, collaborating with Account Executives and Product to move conversations from cold outreach to discovery.
What You'll Do
- Own outbound prospecting for defined verticals and build multi-touch sequences across email, phone, LinkedIn, and video
- Research and prioritize target accounts with Account Executives, identifying stakeholders across product, engineering, legal, finance, and procurement
- Develop tailored outreach messaging connecting use cases to Wikimedia Enterprise
- Build toward pipeline generation targets: qualified meetings booked and opportunities created; track monthly and quarterly
- Conduct discovery calls to understand prospect needs, data use cases, technical requirements, and organizational structure
- Qualify opportunities using MEDDIC; hand off to Account Executives with thorough summaries; collaborate with Solutions Engineers when deeper discussion is needed
- Manage HubSpot outreach sequences, drip campaigns, pipelines, reports, and automated workflows; iterate with A/B testing and metrics
- Produce weekly activity reports that explain what's working and where deals are moving
- Collaborate with Account Executives, Product, and Marketing to align on target accounts and messaging; feed competitive intelligence into GTM playbook
- Stay current on enterprise data landscape: AI/ML training data, knowledge graphs, search infrastructure, and open-data ecosystems
What We're Looking For
- 2-4 years of experience in a B2B SDR/BDR or inside sales role, ideally selling SaaS, data products, APIs, or developer platforms to enterprise accounts
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding outbound pipeline targets in a structured, metrics-driven environment
- Advanced HubSpot proficiency: building sequences, managing workflows, creating custom reports and dashboards, and onboarding colleagues
- Ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders with contextually appropriate messaging
- Strong written communication; you can craft a crisp, personalized cold email that earns a reply
- Alignment with Wikimedia's open knowledge mission, and why it matters in the market
Nice to Have
- Experience at a nonprofit, mission-driven organization, or open-source company
- Proficiency with additional sales tools: Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach, Gong
- Experience with MEDDIC, SPIN, or other enterprise qualification methodologies
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive compensation, commensurate with experience
- Fully remote-first culture with flexible working hours; US time zone strongly preferred
- Generous benefits: comprehensive health coverage, 401(k) with employer contribution, paid parental leave, and more
- Annual professional development budget to support your growth
- Defined promotion path to Account Executive; opportunity to grow into a full-cycle sales career
- The rare chance to contribute to free knowledge that benefits the world
