About the Role We are seeking a highly experienced Sales Development Manager to lead sales development, drive customer qualifications, and support the commercialization of advanced battery anode materials for lithium-ion batteries. The role is essential to accelerating sales growth in the EV and energy storage markets and requires experience with automotive OEMs and/or battery cell manufacturers, and strong negotiation skills with suppliers. What You'll Do
- Lead sales development, manage key accounts, identify and develop new business opportunities, advance product qualifications, and negotiate commercial agreements to closure.
- Drive value-based selling, onboard and commercialize new products, develop and execute global sales strategies, and manage long sales cycles.
- Build strategic customer relationships, negotiate contracts, pricing, and supply agreements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, marketing, supply chain).
- Monitor market intelligence to translate trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activity into strategic recommendations for growth. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field; 10+ years in technical sales, preferably in battery materials or EV/ESS industries.
- Proven track record in B2B technical sales; deep understanding of lithium-ion battery technology, especially anode materials; direct experience with automotive OEMs and/or battery cell manufacturers; strong negotiation skills with suppliers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable with public speaking, customer presentations, and trade shows; ability to develop global sales strategies and manage long sales cycles; strong interpersonal skills and cross-functional collaboration.
- Multilingual capabilities and international experience are a plus. Nice to Have
