About the Role Temporary, part-time Sales Guide in LL.Bean's Hunting or Fishing departments at our Freeport, ME store. You’ll deliver world-class service, showcase product knowledge, and help customers get ready for outdoor adventures in a fast-paced retail environment.

What You'll Do

• Engage Customers: Approach and assist multiple customers with personal and genuine service interactions.
• Drive Sales: Convert interactions into sales and build brand loyalty through outstanding service.
• Build Relationships: Share expertise and passion for outdoor gear to help customers choose the right products.
• Advocate for Customers: Listen to needs and resolve problems efficiently at first contact.
• Leverage Technology: Use Point Of Sale and mobile devices to provide seamless omni-channel service.
• Promote Initiatives: Drive excitement around LL.Bean programs including Outdoor Discovery Program and LL.Bean Mastercard.
• Maintain Standards: Keep store organized, uphold merchandising standards, and support store operations.
• Collaborate: Work with a team to achieve results and adapt to changing needs.
• Health and Safety: Follow safety policies to contribute to a safe workplace.
• Physical Demands: Be prepared to stand/walk for the shift; occasional lifting up to 20-40 pounds with team lift as needed.

• Familiarity with sporting firearms; archery experience preferred.

Nice to Have

• Archery experience.
• Paddlesports or boating experience.
• Knowledge of Maine fresh and saltwater gamefish species.

Compensation & Benefits

• Flexible schedules with minimum 3 days/week (or 12 hours minimum) and weekend options; Saturday or Sunday availability.
• Competitive pay: Dayside/Evening starting around $16.10/hr; Overnight up to about $21/hr with $1 premium for after-hours shifts.
