Safety Manager

About the Role The Safety Manager at Novo Construction in Menlo Park, CA coordinates, administers, and implements the Site Specific Environmental Health and Safety Program. This role supports a safe work environment and reports to the corporate Safety Director, collaborating with superintendents, project managers, and clients to ensure regulatory compliance and proactive safety management. What You'll Do

• Perform frequent safety inspections of multiple project sites, review on-site records and reports for completeness and accuracy, and ensure submission per established procedures.
• Provide safety expertise and coaching in hazard identification and resolution.
• Prepare professional reports and recommend corrective actions in response to deficiencies and safety requests.
• Ensure the safety of employees, subcontractors, clients and the general public on the project, and ensure compliance with NOVO Construction safety and regulatory requirements.
• Develop, coordinate, and implement project-specific safety plans with project superintendents to comply with customer and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct comprehensive, in-depth incident investigations (incidents and near misses), identify root causes, implement preventive measures, and follow up for long-term resolution.
• Conduct documented safety briefings, trainings, and testing for all employees.
• Coordinate with project teams and clients to identify, communicate, and fulfill all safety requirements.
• Ensure subcontractors adhere to safety standards and procedures (content truncated in source). What We're Looking For
• OSHA-certified safety professional with construction experience.
• Experience performing site inspections, developing/implementing safety plans, conducting trainings, and investigating incidents.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel. Nice to Have
• Experience coordinating safety programs across multiple project sites.
• Ability to prepare professional safety reports and lead corrective action initiatives. Compensation & Benefits
• Salary: $100,000 - $145,000 per year (USD).
• Location: Menlo Park, CA; Onsite role.
