Job title: Safety Manager / Construction (HSE) Health, Safety and Environmental Manager

About the Role The Safety Manager / Construction (HSE) at Linde Engineering North America leads on-site safety for Beaumont, TX projects. You will oversee contractor safety, lead a team of Safety Techs, and ensure a zero-incident safety culture through proactive HSE leadership.

What You'll Do

  • Provide safety support at the project site, oversee Contractor activities
  • Lead a team of Safety Techs and plan their activities to support the project team’s goal to maintain a zero – zero safety performance
  • Oversee Work Permits daily, identify improvement opportunities and initiate necessary actions
  • Perform accident investigations including Root Cause Analyses of injuries, illnesses, and key incidents
  • Implement corrective actions following citations or safety incidents to remain within compliance of occupational health regulations
  • Monitor contractors' safety programs, perform periodic HSE audits
  • Lead sample safety inspections, report findings to site management and ensure timely conformance
  • Develop and implement local safety training and campaigns to maintain a positive safety culture
  • Implement and lead a strong Safety Observation program
  • Be willing to work majority of the working time in the field performing HSE inspections, observations, and help correct UA&UCs

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in a related HSE field
  • OSHA 30 hours training in construction (mandatory)
  • Good knowledge about applicable OSHA requirements; strong technical knowledge on HSE matters in construction
  • Basic knowledge of Electrical Safety, Hazardous Energy Isolation program & P&IDs
  • At least 20 years of construction HSE site experience
  • Lead HSE / Site HSE Manager role at job sites for at least 10 years
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards contractor monitoring and HSE management
  • Ability to impart training and lead HSE orientation
  • Willing to work majority of the working time in the field performing HSE inspections, observations, and help correct UA&UCs
