About the Role Johnson Controls is seeking a Safety & Health Officer for Project roles in Malaysia. This role supports site-based safety and health programs, ensuring compliance with local regulations and Johnson Controls' standards to protect personnel and project outcomes. What You'll Do
- Develop and implement project-specific safety and health plans for assigned sites in Malaysia, with a focus on Petaling Jaya/Selangor.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments; identify hazards and recommend mitigations.
- Lead incident reporting and investigations, ensure root-cause analysis, and share lessons learned.
- Deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns to project teams.
- Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to maintain regulatory compliance and continuous improvement. What We're Looking For
- Relevant safety qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent) and prior experience in project-based safety roles.
- Knowledge of Malaysia safety regulations, standards, and permit-to-work systems.
- Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia, and manage field-based safety activities. Nice to Have
- Experience with Johnson Controls or similar global companies.
- Additional certifications in risk management, emergency response, or environmental health. Compensation & Benefits
