About the Role
The Lawson Group is seeking a Safety Consultant to help clients build safer workplaces and healthier homes. You will support air quality and environmental health initiatives, industrial hygiene, hazard management, and OSHA-compliance programs for commercial and residential clients across New England.
What You'll Do
- Identify risks related to asbestos, mold, radon, lead, and ventilation, performing inspections, testing, and IAQ assessments as needed.
- Conduct workplace exposure monitoring using recognized sampling methods and compare results to OSHA guidelines; provide accurate, practical reporting.
- Develop and implement customized safety programs to support OSHA compliance; provide training and guidance for teams.
- Provide noise exposure monitoring and general industrial hygiene services to help prevent hearing loss and stay compliant with OSHA standards.
- Assist in construction safety planning, site safety plans, project oversight, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance at all levels.
- Communicate findings and actionable recommendations to clients, employees, and stakeholders; support ongoing safety program improvement.
- Collaborate with homeowners and property managers on IAQ concerns and environmental health issues.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in health and safety consulting, with knowledge of OSHA safety standards and compliance.
- Ability to perform environmental testing (air quality, IAQ, asbestos, lead, radon) and hazard assessments.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate results into practical, actionable guidance.
- Effective communication and training skills; ability to work with manufacturing, construction, and residential clients.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to contribute as part of a local, family-owned business.
