Job title: Safety Advisor (Preventieadviseur Niv 2)
We are seeking a hands-on Safety Advisor (Preventieadviseur niveau 2) for Renault Trucks Centers in Belgium to support wellbeing, safety policy and culture. You will be part of the internal prevention service of Volvo Group Belgium and work across Renault Trucks Kruibeke, Berlaar, Herent, Wommelgem and Londerzeel.
What You'll Do
- Actively shape and monitor wellbeing and safety policy, partnering with the business to create a safe, healthy and compliant workplace.
- Combine knowledge of legislation with pragmatic on-the-ground actions; contribute to strengthening the safety culture.
- Support the wellbeing policy and contribute to the Global Prevention Plan and Annual Action Plan; advise management and integrate safety into daily operations.
- Perform risk analyses in diverse work environments and translate them into concrete preventive measures with active follow-up.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, perform analyses and translate into targeted improvements and clear reporting.
- Organize and conduct safety rounds; ensure compliance with legislation and internal standards.
- Play an active role in training and awareness, raise safety consciousness on the shop floor.
- Be involved in emergency and fire procedures, evacuation drills and preventive measures.
- Advise on PPE and ensure conformity and inspection of tools and installations.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners and represent the organization during inspections and audits.
- Keep up-to-date with relevant legislation to ensure ongoing compliance and accurate reporting.
What We're Looking For
- Attest Preventieadviseur niveau 2; preferably some experience, ideally in a technical or automotive environment.
- Interest or affinity with environmental care is a plus.
- You are a coach, a good listener and can persuade and guide colleagues; hands-on team player with a pragmatic approach.
- You communicate well with different levels in the organization; strong passion for safety and ability to transfer this enthusiasm to others.
- You feel comfortable on the shop floor and can easily connect with diverse stakeholders; fluent in Dutch; knowledge of French is a plus.
