QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Gender and Development studies, Anthropology Social Work,Psychology, or a related field.
- A master's degree is an added advantage
- Valid Certificate of Good Conduct (issued within the last 6 months).
- At least 5 years of experience in safeguarding, child protection, or related roles, with experience in the education or development sector being highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding standards and best practices, including child protection, gender-based violence, and vulnerable adult protection.
- Experience in designing and delivering safeguarding training for diverse audiences
- Ability to identify and assess safeguarding risks, with strong problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of the National Child Protection laws, Policies, and Frameworks in Kenya and International Safeguarding Standards
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with individuals at all levels
- Strong organizational and report writing skills.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, and representation skills.
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in working with various databases as well as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Good organizational, analytical, and programmatic reporting skills.
- Strong organizational, planning, prioritization, and execution skills and the ability to take accountability for results and achievement of objectives.
