SAC Back-End Developer

We are looking for an experienced SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Back-End Developer to design, develop, and optimize SAC planning solutions within a complex SAP environment. The role focuses on building and maintaining planning models, advanced calculations, data actions, and integration processes to support business planning, forecasting, and reporting requirements. Working closely with functional consultants, business stakeholders, and technical teams, the developer ensures scalable, reliable, and high-performing SAC solutions aligned with business needs and technical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain SAP Analytics Cloud planning models, including dimensions, measures, hierarchies, and data structures.
• Develop and optimize advanced formulas, calculations, data actions, and multi-actions to support complex business planning processes.
• Configure and enhance SAC planning functionalities, including allocations, forecasting, simulations, and version management.
• Implement and maintain data integration between SAC and SAP systems, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW, and SAP BW/4HANA.
• Optimize planning model performance, calculation efficiency, and data processing capabilities.
• Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and SAC solutions.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to planning models, data actions, calculations, and data integration.
• Support system testing, technical documentation, deployment activities, and ongoing enhancements.
• Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and compliance with established development standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), particularly SAC Planning and back-end development.
• Proven experience designing and developing SAC planning models, advanced formulas, calculations, and data actions.
• Solid understanding of SAC data modeling, planning logic, allocations, and version management.
• Experience integrating SAC with SAP back-end systems such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW, or SAP BW/4HANA.
• Knowledge of data connectivity, data preparation, and integration approaches within SAP environments.
• Experience with performance optimization, troubleshooting, and technical problem-solving in SAC Planning.
• Understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, or other enterprise planning processes.
• Ability to translate functional requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
• Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional business and IT teams.
