About the Role L3Harris is seeking a Rust Software Developer at multiple levels to contribute to defense technology solutions that connect space, air, land, sea, and cyber domains. This role focuses on building reliable, secure software that supports national security missions and collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated technology platforms. What You'll Do
- Design, implement, and maintain software components in Rust for defense-related systems.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code; participate in code reviews and agile processes.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Contribute to architecture discussions and ensure software reliability and security. What We're Looking For
- Proficiency in Rust programming language with experience in systems programming.
- Knowledge of concurrency, safe/secure software practices, and Linux environment.
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams. Nice to Have
- Experience with asynchronous Rust (Tokio), FFI, or embedded systems.
- Exposure to defense or cybersecurity concepts.
- Familiarity with hardware interfaces and embedded development workflows.
