Job title: Rubrik Engineer
We are looking for a Rubrik Engineer responsible for implementing, administering, and supporting Rubrik-based data protection solutions. The role focuses on backup, recovery, replication, disaster recovery, ransomware protection, and integration with on‑prem and cloud environments.
What You'll Do
- Design, implement, and manage Rubrik CDM environments for enterprise backup and recovery
- Configure backup and SLA domains for virtual machines (VMware / Hyper‑V), physical servers, NAS file shares, and databases (SQL, Oracle, SAP HANA, etc.)
- Monitor backup jobs, troubleshoot failures, and perform restore operations
- Manage on‑prem, cloud, and hybrid backup solutions
- Implement disaster recovery (DR) and replication strategies
- Support cloud integrations: Object storage (S3, Azure Blob)
- Perform ransomware recovery and data integrity validation
- Apply system upgrades, patches, and firmware updates
- Automate backup operations using Rubrik APIs / PowerShell
- Integrate Rubrik with monitoring and ticketing tools
- Create documentation and operational runbooks
- Provide L2/L3 support and participate in on‑call rotations
What We're Looking For
- Strong hands-on experience with Rubrik CDM
- Solid understanding of backup & recovery concepts
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
- Familiarity with SAN/NAS storage technologies
- Understanding of DR, RPO, RTO, and compliance requirements
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
Nice to Have
- Rubrik Polaris (Radar, Sonar, GPS)
- Cyber recovery and ransomware response experience
- Knowledge of competing tools: Veeam, Networker, Data Domain
- ITIL process awareness
- Rubrik certification (Rubrik Certified System Administrator- RCSA)
