About the Role Rope Access Technician / Scaffolding is responsible for erecting scaffolds which are adequate for the purpose they were intended and comply with Saipem scaffold procedure, and for maintaining, inspecting, and dismantling scaffolds on offshore structures using rope access techniques to access hard‑to‑reach areas. Working as part of a scaffolding team on various offshore vessels, you will help deliver safe, high‑quality work aligned with the project needs and safety standards. What You'll Do
- Carry out regular checks to ensure equipment is in good condition and meets safety standards.
- Conduct pre-job briefings to ensure all team members understand job requirements and safety procedures.
- Perform rope access work in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, equipment usage, and maintenance schedules.
- Possess thorough knowledge of the equipment and techniques required for rope access, including rigging and safety devices.
- Work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with other team members and clients.
- Be familiar with relevant legislation and regulations governing rope access work and comply with all safety requirements.
- Maintain IRATA certification by means of recertification.
- Serve as a Level III Rope Access Supervisor. What We're Looking For
- Experience as rope access scaffolders, skilled in erecting and dismantling scaffolds, including independent tied, tower, birdcage, suspended, and cantilever scaffolds.
- Strong knowledge of rope access equipment, rigging and safety devices, and safe work practices.
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
- Familiarity with relevant legislation and regulations governing rope access work and strict compliance with safety requirements.
- IRATA certification (or ability to recertify to maintain active status). Compensation & Benefits
