Summary of Job Duties:

• The Room Service Ambassador is responsible for assisting patients with menu selections and ensuring that patients receive meals and nourishment in accordance with physician-prescribed diets, food allergies, and preferences. The Room Service Ambassador provides excellent customer service to ensure the department’s goals are met.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED required.
• Basic keyboard skills and telephone etiquette skills.
• Experience in a food service, customer service, or patient care setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide an excellent customer service experience when the patients are making menu selections.
• Takes food orders over the phone.
• Make selections in the electronic meal selection system and update and record patient information.
• Correct menu choices based on meal patterns, allergies, and patient preferences.
• Troubleshoot issues at the point of service affecting patient satisfaction with the food service.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
