About this role

Robotic Operations Support Specialist, Weekend Shift

Build the Path Forward

At Path we work on state-of-the-art artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision, and sensors to make industrial robots intelligent. Our transformative technology, like our robotic welding system, enables hardware to do more with less human input.

We are looking for a Robotic Operations Support Specialist to join a team of dedicated, supportive, and enthusiastic people to help create the future of manufacturing. Come solve the hardest problems with the best team on the planet!

This role is scheduled Friday through Sunday, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM. Shift differential is applied.

What You’ll Do

  • You will support customers, interact with and operate our state-of-the-art autonomous welding cells, and interface with customers to ensure our equipment is operating efficiently. You will coordinate with engineering resources to troubleshoot issues that may arise, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on our automation equipment and cells locally or at customer sites. You will troubleshoot customer issues of the welding system; familiarity with electrical, mechanical, and vision systems will be helpful. You will record data as required by engineers to drive issue resolution, carefully monitor cell performance and part fit-up, and read engineering drawings, assembly diagrams, electrical schematics, and interpret blueprints. You will service and maintain pneumatic systems, welding equipment, robotics, and electrical automation devices, and integrate a sophisticated autonomous welding cell into a customer’s manufacturing process. You will learn Forge processes in great detail and gain familiarity in operating the cell from command prompts and code changes. You will inspect, clean, and replace electrical and mechanical components. You will be adaptable because needs may change and develop quickly.

  • Who You Are

  • You have technical training, a trade school certification, an associate degree in engineering technology, a BS in engineering, or related industry experience. You have hands-on experience in design, assembly, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems, preferably manufacturing equipment-specific. You possess a good customer support mindset and some welding experience (no certifications necessary). You have fabrication or machine shop experience and Linux experience. You are comfortable learning some programming languages, detail-oriented, and have experience working with small and fragile components. You are passionate about what you do and enjoy working in a collaborative environment. You are eager to learn and grow in your field. It is a plus if you are bilingual (Spanish).

  • Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

  • Requires the ability to lift 50 pounds, the ability to operate and use shop equipment, and the ability to climb ladders and bend over or move into awkward positions. You must maintain a commitment to high standards of workmanship, quality production, and continuous improvement. Expect 10–20% travel.

We encourage unique thinking and are dedicated to creating a diverse and inclusive environment.
