About the Role As an Intermediate Swing Bed RN in Shelby, Montana, you provide relationship-based nursing care in a calm, supportive setting for patients who no longer require acute inpatient care but still need daily nursing support. The role emphasizes comfort, stability, and continuity of care, with opportunities to build meaningful connections with patients over time. What You'll Do
- Provide nursing care to intermediate (non-skilled) swing bed patients
- Support patients who have completed or no longer qualify for skilled therapy
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and their families
- Lead and support CNAs and other care partners on the unit
- Collaborate with acute care nursing staff when questions or needs arise
- Maintain a calm, steady approach to patient care in a lower-acuity setting What We're Looking For
- Graduate of an accredited RN program
- Current Montana RN license or multistate compact license
- BLS required
- ACLS, PALS, or NRP preferred
- At least 2 years of nursing experience preferred
- Experience with long-term care, rehab, or swing bed patients is a plus Nice to Have
