About the Role The RN 2 in the Telemetry unit is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care for a diverse patient population in a safe and therapeutic environment. This role requires clinical judgment, data interpretation, and collaboration with patients, families, and the health care team to address age specific needs. Reports to the Director and/or Nurse Manager; may supervise licensed nursing assistants and unlicensed personnel. What You'll Do
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care; gather data through history taking and physical assessment and interpret data to meet patient care needs
- Develop, evaluate and revise the patient plan of care and nursing actions in response to changing patient needs; document care provided and progress toward outcomes
- Direct and supervise others in the performance of delegated nursing activities; teach the patient and/or family about the plan of care; prepare patients to manage their care after discharge, transfer or prep for procedures
- Manage time and resources to deliver patient care; administer medications and provide direct patient care
- Lead the health care team and serve as a resource person for the assigned shift; participate as a preceptor for new employees
- Perform job specific requirements and other duties as assigned What We're Looking For
- Education graduated from an accredited School of Nursing; licensure as a Registered Nurse by the New Hampshire Board of Nursing
- Certification registered nurse NH Board of Nursing; Basic Life Support by American Heart Association
- Experience one year of prior clinical nursing experience; demonstrated ability to work effectively with patients, care providers and the multidisciplinary team
- Skills ability to apply clinical judgment, gather and interpret data, document progress and communicate effectively with patients and team Nice to Have
