About the Role The Registered Nurse (RN) in Telemetry provides and coordinates nursing care for a group of patients in the telemetry unit, from simple to complex multi-system issues, in a safe and therapeutic environment. The RN uses knowledge of growth and development across the life span, engages in caring relationships with patients and families, collaborates with other health care workers, and adheres to specialty standards and organizational standards, policies, procedures, guidelines and protocols. Reports to the Director and/or Nurse Manager and may participate in supervision of Licensed Nursing Assistants and unlicensed personnel. What You'll Do
- Gather data through history taking and physical assessment and interpret data to plan and implement interventions to meet patient care needs
- Develop, evaluate and revise patient's plan of care and nursing actions in response to patient needs
- Document care provided and patient's progress toward attainment of desired outcomes
- Direct and supervise others in the performance of delegated nursing activities
- Educate the patient and/or significant other(s) about the plan of care; prepare patients to manage their care after discharge, transfer or procedure/test
- Manage time and resources to deliver patient care
- Administer medications to patients; provide direct patient care
- Lead the health care team; perform job-specific requirements and other duties as assigned What We're Looking For
- Education: Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred
- Licensure: Current New Hampshire State Registered Nurse license
- Certification: Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification (or equivalent) and department-specific certifications as required
- Experience: Related experience/training; ability to work effectively with patients, care providers, and the multidisciplinary team; ability to function as a team member Nice to Have
